The first of three JLT fixtures was held at Hurstville Oval on Tuesday between the Southern Redbacks and Queensland Bulls with plenty of excitement and big hits. There great news is that there are still two more games to come. This Friday the Bulls take on the Western Warriors and on the long week-end Monday the Warriors will play the Tasmanian Tigers.
On Tuesday the Redbacks posted a competitive 280 with Tom Cooper scoring 139 off 134 ball including 15 fours and 7 sixers. All up there 10 in the sixes in the Redbacks innings. The Bulls replied in emphatic fashion running down the Redbacks score in just 35.3 overs with Chris Lynn scoring 106no off 71 balls including 8 fours and 8 sixes. All up the Bulls whacked 19 maximums. Bull openers Max Bryant got off to a very exciting start with 71 from 31 balls. This was the fastest half century (23 balls) by a Queenslander.
