The club is saddened to report the passing of one of its greatest supporters in Terry Houghton.
Terry first became involved with St George DCC in the late 80's when son Lucas began playing grade for the club. Over the years and even after Lucas had finished playing, Terry, a successful businessman, remained a strong and generous presence at the club. He also served in various committees including playing an active part in the organisation of the clubs Centenary celebrations.
Terry was always very supportive of club functions so much so that he even toured with St George DCC as a supporter on the clubs first overseas tour which was to Sri Lanka back in 1999.
Most importantly Terry loved the game, the cricketers and the history of St George and for this we loved Terry. Many of the bats you see in the Booth Saunders Pavilion were kindly organised and donated by Terry.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Wife, Raylee, Son Lucas, Daughter Julia as well as Grand and Great Children.
